A tour is only as good as the people who run it. Our drivers and guides are among the best storm chasers in the industry. All have years of experience chasing severe weather.
Each passes extensive weather and safety training and are CPR/First Aid certified. Driving for a storm chase tour requires a specific set of skills operating a large vehicle in extreme conditions and the experience to make fast, safe decisions for the wellbeing of the group.

Jason Weingart - Tour Director
Jason is the founder of Twister Hunter Tours and leader of the Tornadic Orbital Telemetry Observations research project. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, he began chasing tornadoes in 2013 and has witnessed over 300 during his career. He began flying drones in 2025 and has obtained his FAA Part 107 UAS pilot certification. His work has been featured by National Geographic, Discovery Channel and a multitude of media outlets.
As director he makes all logistical decisions regarding operation of each tour.
Tyler Berry - Driver
Tyler is a Northeast Ohio-based storm chaser with a passion for severe weather, photography, and the outdoors. He began storm chasing in 2016, starting close to home in Ohio before expanding across the country in 2021. He has documented 20 tornadoes and has been featured by local news outlets and podcasts. He works alongside media during severe weather events, helping share important weather information with the public.
